It seems like juicing and smoothies are all the buzz lately and everyone keeps talking about the Blendtec (or Vitamix). I wonder if they are worth the big investment? People who have them seem to swear by them. Amazon dropped the price of the Blendtec TB-621-20 Total Blender FourSide, Black to $369, down from $599. I did a quick search online and these seems like a stellar deal.
Blendtec features:
- Commercial-quality 1,560-watt countertop blender with 3 HP direct-drive motor
- Preprogrammed blending cycles; digital touchpad controls; auto shutoff
- 2-prong stainless-steel blade spins at up to 29,000 rpm; ice-crushing guarantee
- 2-quart square blending jar; secure-fitting lid; user guide and recipes included
- Measures 7 by 8 by 15.5 inches; 3-year motor-base warranty; 1-year jar warranty; lifetime coupling-and-blade warranty
Amazon prices can change at anytime. See other Amazon deals here.
If you’ve been looking for a deal on Vitamix, I know Costco offers a discount – you can also find them here: Vitamix 1782 TurboBlend, 2 Speed

Costco has this Blender on occasions and they ask $350 for the blender, plus they offer extended warranty for Costco members.

If you are looking for a jamba juice type experience, this or the vitamix is a great investment. I used one while I nannied for the little one who would drink his food but not eat it 🙂 It enables you to blend virtually anything into a smoothie. If you are looking for a juicer, however, this isnt the right way to go. Jack Lelane, or something similar will work great. Depends on what you are looking for I guess.

I have a Vitamix and it does stuff I could never do with a standard $30 blender – I can make my own nut butters, blend seeds, and rips through greens. It heats up soups – I could go on and on, but the $400 was absolutely worth every penny as it’s enabled us to get more of the good raw stuff in our diet.

I am in the market for one of those too. Costco online has it for the same price, and you get 2 jars.

I got mine at costco too same it included 2nd container. Can I say love, love, love.
gives same texture to smoothies as jamba juice (big deal to me)
crushes the hard berry seeds so they don’t get stuck in your teeth
has setting so the power goes up and down on its own so you don’t have to fuss
cleaning is a breeze literally rinse and done, no take apart, no nooks and crannies
only drawback….LOUD but its power is what makes it great
google the u tube of some crazy person blending thier i-phone to powder in it.
