Costco alcohol prices
Last year Costco stores in Washington started selling liquor. We thought we’d put together a list of Costco liquor prices so you could reference it when trying to find the best deals.
The prices below include Washington State liquor tax. We gathered these prices at the Vancouver, Washington Costco Warehouse in late June 2013. Prices at your local Costco warehouse might be different, especially if you don’t live in Washington state. We watched prices for a few weeks before we made this list and we noticed that Costco liquor prices do fluctuate – sometimes a few cents, sometimes a few dollars.

The tax in Washington on liquor is A LOT HIGHER than in California. Although this post is a few years old, I was up in Seattle visiting in October 2014, and these prices seem about what they were (albiet adjusting for inflation) . A few people told me up there thats why they have so many bars.
This kind of makes sense in the way of why New York has so few liquor stores, because of some old school ( post prohibition era?) law that either the same store cannot sell liquor within a certain # of miles of each other or something like that, which explains the bar hours and number of bars.
You guys must have really high tax on liquor. In California our prices are way lower…like half for some of this stuff! These are higher prices than even the liquor stores.
The liquor prices are much higher than Calvert Woodley, Magruderss DC
I am in a state of shock after looking at these prices. They are nearly double for the same product sold at Costco in California. My God people, a cocktail or two is going to cost you an arm and a leg and I don’t mean in a traffic accident.

I have been shopping in CA as well, it’s a pleasure to buy booze there!
I’m extremely disappointed with Costco. I’ve waited for the Kirkland Single Malt Scotch to be available and have inquired in Connecticut where we shop since before Thanksgiving for the Kirkland Brand to become available. We’ve been calling the store in Connecticut and waiting for the scotch to become available and called every week to see if it was available yet – in addition to going to the store. We were told that it was expected momentarily but, today when we called we were told that it would not be available this year. It was said that it was all sent to Washington (don’t know whether DC or the State). However, we see it listed on your website, Is it possible to order it directly from you? I have provided your Scotch to my sons and son-in-law for years and at a lower price than you show on your website. I’d like to provide it to them as usual for the Christmas Holiday.
