Costco – Gluten-free foods list *Updated October 2014!*

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure

Costco-Gluten-Free-Foods-Lists

It can be hard to find gluten-free deals, but Costco has some great gluten-free offerings! We put together this list of Costco gluten-free deals so you can reference it when looking for gluten-free bargains.

We scoured the Costco warehouse and read hundreds of labels to find as many gluten-free foods as we could. We’ve listed them below, grouped by area of the warehouse, to make them easy for you to find. Our focus was on packaged and prepared foods – foods that were nearly impossible to find gluten-free versions of a few years ago.

Please note – all the foods on this list are labeled “No Gluten” or “Gluten Free.” However, the vast minority were not “Certified Gluten Free.” What’s the difference? Foods that are Certified Gluten Free are typically produced in a facility that doesn’t process wheat or other ingredients that contain gluten. This eliminates the risk of cross-contamination on shared manufacturing equipment. Foods marked No Gluten or Gluten Free may not have gluten ingredients, but could have trace amounts of gluten from other products made in the same facility. Depending on your reason for avoiding gluten in your diet, this difference could be really important.

This list is updated as of October 2014. Prices and availability will change depending on warehouse location and time.

Since the products since so often at Costco, it would be wonderful if someone could update this list. It is over 5 years out of date and should really be updated or pulled from the internet.

Thanks for this list. I wish the Costco’s in Sothern California carried some of these items. Our Costco’s don’t have most of these items. 🙁

Really appreciate the lists of gluten free foods and also the dairy free products. My husband is gluten free and dairy free so we do buy several things at Costco. I would like an updated list though as you probably have more items now. Thankyou!

I did try the rotisserie chicken. While it states it is gluten free… I still was sick from it. I think it might have been a cross contamination issue. I had two chickens that I could eat, picked up a third later (I bought one three months in a row)… and that one did me in. 🙁

Was so tickled to find the 4 cheese gluten free pizzas. I fixed Italian sausage to put on it along with onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, black olives & more moz cheese…simply wonderful, better than we’ve ever had, better for our health & the crust was delicious, thanks Costco. Now all Costco needs is a deli hotdog bun for their food court hot dogs!!!

We love the Sabatasso’s Gluten Free Pizza and the glutton free bread by The Essential Baking Company! We are extremely sad that our area Costcos are no longer carrying the WildRoots Gluten Free ancient grain pancake and waffle mix. It was also a favorite and I have not been able to find anything comparable. It was a great product!

My thoughts are, if it doesn’t state gluten free under the new 2015 FDA definition, I wouldn’t risk it if you are celiac.

We’re trying to find out if Kirkland pepper is gluten free. Seems like peppercorns would only have pepper in them, but they might also have an agent to keep them from sticking together.

What I really would love is a list of Gf foods that are also Non-GMO. I doubt Costco even carries more than a handful of Non-GMO items, unfortunately.

I just found out that your canned meats, I.e. Beef, chicken and turkey, are made with modified food starch and are in fact NOT gluten free. This use to be a great go to staple for me. Any chance that they could change that recipe and make it GF. The beef is sooo good. I’m super disappointed. I mean…why is it necessary to use wheat starch, when there are so many other choices that would not change the texture, or compromise flavor? And it would open that product up to so many who are gluten intolerant.
