FREE Summer Reading Programs
There are quite a few FREE summer reading programs that reward kids for reading during the summer. Kids can earn everything from free books to food to game tokens!

Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Lists (Grades 1-6): Fill out the Summer Reading Journal (PDF). Bring the completed journal into your local Barnes & Noble store by August 31, 2021. Kids who complete the reading program can select a FREE book from a list of select titles. This program is designed for kids in first through sixth grades.
Barnes & Noble YA Book Club: every month meet discuss compelling stories and characters on Facebook Live.
Chuck E Cheese: Print off their Reading Rewards Calendar and keep track of your reading progress over two weeks by marking off days completed with a sticker or check mark. Bring in a completed form for 10 FREE play points. Food purchase is required. Limit one certificate per kid per day.
Pizza Hut Camp Book it! Program: Get printable reading logs, fun activity printables and lots of book lists and reading tips for parents.
Don’t forget to check with your local library for programs! Most libraries offer a variety of activities and events. Locally, our public library offers a summer reading program that rewards kids with a free book and a ticket to the county fair in exchange for logging a set number of hours.
