    Hi Sheena!

Yes the cashier was wrong. This is one of the reasons it is important to print out the store policy and bring it with you. This is also a great reason to get to know your cashiers and your store managers.

I had one manager a few weeks ago tell me that she was going to be retraining her employees to let them know that you can in fact use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale and get both items for free. Even after that training, when I went to purchase these razors I had to wait for the cashier to first tell me that I couldn’t do it, ask the cashier behind her if she could do it (he also said no) and then she called the manager.

I mentioned that Tracey (the manager) had told me that she was going to retrain everyone to let them know that this is allowed and the cashier said that she had been retrained but she just wanted to make sure.

Here is a link to the coupon policy we have on our site http://queenbeetoday.com/bee-ginners-albertsons-store-guide-how-to-use-doublers/

    Trina’s Daughter – Sheena Writing

I went to Alby’s today to get the disposable razors for free. I had 4 packs, two mens gillete and two womens daisy’s. I bought other items as well but the cashier said I could only use one of the P&G coupons and pay for 1 pack for 9.99 and get 3 for free. She said that because of the promotion I would be getting 2 for free and need to pay for two and therefore only one coupon could be used on one of the ones i should be paying for. I ended up not arguing being 7 mos pregnant and too tired in the morning. I am curious though, was the cashier in “the wrong”?? I find it strange that if they’re going to take a BOGO free coupon on a BOGO promo that it should work out to free. If they didn’t want to take the BOGO coupon on top of the promo then I would think they would flat out deny it. Is this listed in their coupon policy???

Awesome!! Thank you so much! I’m gonna go give it a try tomorrow. I only have 3 twice the value coupons, so I think I’ll put them towards 3 kids shampoos. Then I’m gonna get a bunch of razors cuz that’s all I use! YAY!!! I’m a little nervous, though…it’s gonna feel really weird to pay hardly anything for such great stuff!

It does feel weird at first but then you get so used to it that you will figure out your list before you go and wonder happened when your total is off by even a few cents šŸ™‚

The shampoo is an awesome deal and both of the Albertsons in my area are fully stocked so you shouldn’t have an issue finding any.

Remember!! If they are out of razors (which they might be because of the deal) don’t hesitate to get a rain check!!! The BOGO coupon is good for about a month so you will be able to go back in after they get more in stock and do the same deal. I did it with some Lady Speed Stick deodorant last month, they sold out the day the sale started and didn’t get any until the last day my rain check was good for (they give you 30 days).

      Good luck and have fun!!

I am BRAND NEW to couponing, so I’m still learning the ropes. But I’m just wondering why she didn’t buy more razors? Is it because she doesn’t need them? Or is there are rule against it?
    Thank you for your help!

Hi!! Welcome to the wonderful world of couponing! šŸ™‚ I am Jen/Jennifer!

There is not a limit on how many you can get. I only got those 2 yesterday and then I got 2 of the men’s razors today because I only got one newspaper on Sunday.

There were two different coupons in the PG insert this (6/3) weekend that you could use for this deal so I was able to get 4 (2 yesterday and then 2 more today…I didn’t see the second coupon until after I left the store yesterday so I didn’t buy 4 when I could have)

I normally buy 4-6 newspapers (sometimes 10-15 on weekends they have Twice the Value coupons) but this weekend was really busy for me so I didn’t make it up to the dollar store to get my papers. Plus the double coupons came out on Friday this week so I bought those. I will most likely just go up to the gas station tomorrow and see if they have some and if not I’ll order them from a coupon clipping service if I need them later on.

I don’t normally use disposable razors either and there are people out there who will actually get more use out of them than me so I figure I’ll let them have them instead of clearing the shelf on something I don’t use often. I stocked up on Venus razors a few months ago for about $1.50 each so I just got these disposable ones to bring over to my parent’s summer house in case one us forgets to bring a razor šŸ™‚

do you know how long the bogo on the razors are? i was just there and only bought 2 men’s razors. i should have looked through the entire PG insert first. i was too excited to get something for free that i didn’t think ahead, LOL.

Same here…I was so busy this weekend and I got 14 papers on Friday for the doublers so I didn’t even get my Sunday papers yet…I get 1 delivered but that’s it.

It will probably only be through tomorrow, but when I do the write up for next week’s ad I will make a trip into the store and make a note to check for you (should be Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning) šŸ™‚

Check your PG inserts though because there are actually 2 different ones that you can use, both them men’s and women’s…the men’s is at the bottom of the page on the one that only has Gillette razors and the women’s is a few pages after that. So you can get 4 free packs with each insert you have! šŸ™‚

How’d you come up with $1.99 on transaction #l? I came up with $11.98.

The razors are on sale, buy one, get one free and when you use a BOGO coupon with it it makes both items free šŸ™‚
