Easter clearance – A whopping 50% off. Not visible in photo – people laying on ground around Easter clearance display apparently suffering from shock of premium Peep prices.

My personal memo to Fred Meyer: Easter was more than a ELEVEN days ago. Those Peeps ain’t gettin’ any fresher and obviously peeps ain’t buying them at 50% off! Mark ’em down and move ’em!

I found the Pillsbury cookie dough for $1.49 each (we got the last two and my grandson was sooo happy) which came out to about $1.05 each when we bought two with our coupon in Renton, Washington….

I agree with the Easter Candy prices. Some stores are selling theirs at 75% by now.

What’s up with the 50% business? They are awfully proud of their Easter clearance around here. . .

I stocked up on the ground turkey too, although I had already used the coupon from November so I paid 2.99 and then used some Register Rewards from Walgreens to pay for them :).

I remember back in January I picked up a box of the storybook lifesavers from the clearance Christmas section, when they rang up I asked the clerk if the 50% had come off because they were more expensive at half price than Target had them for normal price.
