My local Safeway (near Olympia, Washington) has a coupon for $10 off any $50 order. It doesn’t have to be an online or pick-up order. I combined this with sale prices in the ad and was able to get $163 worth of groceries for just $75.
I have FreshPass – which is a membership that gets you extra coupons and promotions. I paid $49 for the first year and I feel like it’s quickly paying for itself with it’s additional perks:

- 2X points on certain brands
- 5% off O Organics and Open Nature
- 5% off Signature Pet Care
- Monthly Starbucks perks
I redeemed 500 points to get an additional $7 off. I ended up spending $75 and here is what I bought:
Medium Hass Avocados x 4 – $3.24
Lucerne Cottage Cheese, 16 oz x 2 – $3.23
