Safeway – I spent $75 (reg. $165), coupon for $10 off $50

My local Safeway (near Olympia, Washington) has a coupon for $10 off any $50 order. It doesn’t have to be an online or pick-up order. I combined this with sale prices in the ad and was able to get $163 worth of groceries for just $75.

I have FreshPass – which is a membership that gets you extra coupons and promotions. I paid $49 for the first year and I feel like it’s quickly paying for itself with it’s additional perks:

  • Unlimited free delivery on orders over $30
  • $5 monthly credit for annual subscribers
  • 2X points on certain brands
  • 5% off O Organics and Open Nature
  • 5% off Signature Pet Care
  • Monthly Starbucks perks

I redeemed 500 points to get an additional $7 off. I ended up spending $75 and here is what I bought:

Medium Hass Avocados x 4 – $3.24

Lucerne Cottage Cheese, 16 oz x 2 – $3.23

Bananas x 4 – $0.64

Lucerne cream cheese, 8 oz x 2 – $3.23

Birds Eye Steamfresh veggies x 4 – $3.24

O Organics Baby Arugula 11 oz – $3.09

Tillamook ice cream, 48 oz x 2 = $5.66

Waterfront BISTRO Frozen Raw Shell Shrimp, 2 lb – $6.46

Signature Select Tomatoes 12 oz x 2 – $3.25

Signature Farms Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, 3.5 lb x 2 – $17.74

Broccoli Crown x 5 – $4.09

Ground Beef 93% Lean, 7% Fat, 1.25 lb x 2 – $12.17

Iceberg lettuce – $1.17

Lucerne sour cream, 16 oz – $1.62

Lucerne milk low-fat 1%, half-gallon – $1.50

Bell peppers x 6 – $4.87

Here’s another look at what I purchased and what I paid:

In terms of meals this week, here’s what I’m thinking I can make with them:

  • Chicken & Broccoli
  • Burgers on the grill
  • Chicken fajitas
  • Caesar salad with chicken
  • Arugula salads (I have one for lunch most days)

Let me know if you take advantage of this $10 off $50 coupon.

What they’re saying

Queen Bee has been my go to for many years. Not only how to save on the family grocery budget. But, how to shop. From grocerys to clothes to household. She has saved us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars cumulatively over the years. Thank You! Debby F.

Queen Bee has been one of my favorite pages to follow! A friend kept sharing her deals so I had to start following and I’m so glad I did. I have been able to purchase so many items at great prices because of her posts. She is great about commenting back to questions or even just saying thanks to people who let her know they picked up an item she posted! Christine R.

Queen Bee is an amazing site with great deals no doubt, but my favorite parts are the snippets of silliness, morning coffee, amazing second hand finds. Queen Bee has saved me lots of money, but it's also brightened many a days! Tilla H.

Queen bee has helped me to make Christmas awesome for my kids every year. We follow the blog and are able to stay in budget and get twice as many items for the family. They are the best!! Jessica T.

Can always count on QueenBee for great deals from many different stores ! She's always keeping us well informed, saved a lot throughout the years, been following for a good 7 years ! Cathy L.
