It’s time for another Northwest vacation giveaway! The Resort at the Mountain, near Mt. Hood, Oregon, is giving one lucky Queen Bee reader a one night stay in a luxurious resort room (one King bed or two Queen beds) plus 18 holes of gold, with a cart for two! This is valued at a whopping $347.

Let me tell you a little bit about the Resort at the Mountain. We have stayed here twice – both thanks to major discounts through sites like Groupon, Jetsetter and Snique Away. We really loved both our stays – the last time being just this last August, right before school started.

They have an outdoor heated pool which was open the last time we went. My son loved it! We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub.

We’ve eaten many meals at one of the resort restaurants, Mallards Cafe and Pub. The prices are really reasonable and it’s kid friendly. Plus, you can’t beat the views. In fact it’s so breathtaking it’s a popular place for weddings. We watched one in progress from the restaurant one night. My son say a bagpipe player (playing wedding music) and the beautiful bride and he exclaimed, “I have both those mini-figures!” For those of you who have kids who are LEGO fanatics, you know what I’m talking about. 🙂

Our room this last time was super spacious – with one King bed and a hide-a-bed in the couch. It also had a “real” fireplace, which we didn’t fire up because it was plenty warm outside. You can see from the photo that it sits right in the woods, with a fun “lodge” feel.

And just for fun here’s a photo of the bathroom in our room. I’m soooo picky about hotel bathrooms – they are either really good or really bad in my opinion. Ours had recently been remodeled and was super spacious, clean and modern.

The Resort is just about 20 minutes from Mt. Hood activities. It’s majestic. We spent part of the day at the Mt. Hood Adventure Park which has all kinds of rides, activities and fun things to do.

My son drives a kiddie car at the Mt. Hood Adventure Park. They have things like bungee jumping, inner-tubing, zip lines, mini golf, horses and more.

During our stay last April we enjoyed Wildwood Park, a U.S. Bureau of Land Management property, FREE and just down the freeway. My daughter swinging at the park.
