Weight Watchers is running a $1 sign up promotion! There is usually a $29 sign up fee, but they have dropped that to only $1 for a limited time. With Weight Watchers you can choose between two plans – manage your account online (includes recipes, discussion groups, phone apps and more) and/or also go to physical meetings. Some people do both, some people just do the online piece (no meetings) and others like the traditional meetings only.
From a frugal perspective I like Weight Watchers because you can eat whatever types of food you want – it’s just about moderation and being accountable for what you eat. This helps because you can still menu plan based on sales. Which I think is much more sustainable than never eating cheese or bread again. And I love that there are tons of coupons for Weight Watcher foods items, if you choose to eat them:
