If you’ve been considering Weight Watchers they are running two great promotions!
If you prefer the Weight Watchers online membership, you can save $25 off when you sign up for a 3-month online membership. Basically all your resources are online – you have recipes, community discussions, articles and tools for tracking your points, activity and weight. It’s actually a pretty slick system and it syncs well with smart phones (free app available is activated with membership).
If you prefer Weight Watchers meetings, you can save 30% off your first monthly pass. A monthly pass allows you to attend as meetings as you’d like. The meetings work like this – you get there a little early and weigh in (privately) and then you can stick around for a 30 minute “class” or “meeting” to get recipe ideas, tips for Weight Watchers success and more. They usually have small giveaways and if you reach a milestone, you can choose to be recognized for it.
As far as a frugal diet or healthy eating regime, Weight Watchers is great because you don’t have to buy any special foods or supplements. You eat real food. No food is off limits, you just have to watch your portions and pick how you want to use your calories. See what eating on Weight Watchers looks like here.

The portion control aspect is helping us saving money, especially with the extras and snacks. I used to go through a big bottle of INternational Delight in about 10 days! Now that I measure out a tablespoon, it lasts much longer. Same with my husband’s Quaker Chewy bars. He only eats 1/day now instead of 2-3.
My husband has lost 35 lbs on WW even with a new baby and studying for the CPA while working full time. I finally joined him because I lost the baby weight but I am having a tough time with 10 lbs of “honeymoon” weight from pre-baby. I really recommend WW for the reasons Heather lists above!
