About Heather Clarke, Queen Bee
I earned my B.A. in Communications/PR with a minor in Business from Pacific Lutheran University in 2002. After graduating I went to work in Community Relations for the City of Tacoma. From there I went to work for the state of Washington, Department of Transportation (WSDOT) where I worked on the WSDOT Website and was Communication Manager for the Tacoma HOV project.
I had big plans to be a working-outside-the-house mom. But then my son was born and my heart and drive shifted from my career to my kiddo. In order for me to stay home with my son, we would cut our income by 60-percent. We cut all the corners, then starting cutting coupons. . . and the rest is history. I’ve been my own boss, working from home ever since – sharing Queen Bee and all that we’ve done over this last decade. I live in Olympia, Washington with my wonderful husband Jeremy and our two children.
