We used to do EXTENSIVE grocery match-ups for every store across the nation. We don’t have that capacity any more. But groceries are such a substantial portion to saving each month that I want to go back to a weekly HIGH LEVEL post with the best, of the best, deals at our local stores. You can expect this post to publish weekly on Tuesday nights or Wednesday mornings when the new ads come out.
These are grocery deals for the week of August 26 – September 1, 2020.

Depending on what the regular price is – this could be a super deal. Make tacos, stuffed peppers, spaghetti sauce. . .

Suddenly Salad – $0.99 WYB 5
Part of Buy 5 or more Save $1 more promotion. I love having a few of these on hand for a go-to pasta salad. But I love to give it LIFE with sliced salami, fresh olives, sliced hardboiled eggs, garbanzo beans, cubed mozzarella, cherry tomatoes. . . lots of options for add-ins!
Ora Ida potatoes – $1.79/lb
Part of Buy 5 or more Save $1 more promotion.
Darigold butter 16 oz – $2.50

COSTCO – Deals run until August 31, 2020

Premier Protein shakes – $7 off
I’m not sure what the bottom-line is on these, but I plan to go this weekend and find out. Great option for Weight Watchers (2 pts depending on plan) or cut calories. What are your favorite protein shakes?
Kirkland Signature Organic and Recyclable K-Cup Pods 120 ct – $31.99
This comes out to $0.27 cents each. Anything under 30 cents each is worth paying attention to.
Skinny Pop Popcorn – $4 off
My kids love these and I like that it’s an easy 3 pt snack on Weight Watchers. It’s probably a better deal when they have the big bags of Skinny Pop on sale, but they didn’t last time I checked. Plus – you don’t have the built-in portion control. With these, you’re basically paying extra to have them pre-packed and for someone to say – that’s a good place to stop, friend. 🙂
Meiji Hello Panda Chocolate Creme Filled Cookies – $2.50
Not healthy. Not really a wise financial choice. But seriously, my kids do love these, so let’s be honest, they’ll be in my cart.
Nature Valley Oats ‘N Honey Granola Bars 49 ct – $3.80 off
These will NEVER BE CHEAP ENOUGH to justify the crumbs. Only buy these if you like to have granola bars self-destruct the minute you touch them. Try to delicately nibble – you will be a HOT MESS OF DEBRIS. Good luck. You have been warned.
Folgers Classic Roast Ground Coffee 51 oz – $2 off It tastes like dirt. .. but one of my biggest fears is running out of coffee during COVID. Could there be anything worse than being self-quarantined with kids who haven’t socialized in 6-months? Yes. . .you could be doing it WITHOUT coffee. I’ll be picking up a backup to my backup.
CJ Bibigo Chicken & Vegetable Steamed Dumplings 36 ct – Mr. Queen Bee gives these 5-star reviews. I haven’t tried them. But he says they are better than the Mr. Ling gyozas that go on sale often at Costco. What do you think about these?
Hillshire Farm Lunch Meat Variety Pack 3/1 lb – $4 off. When these suckers on on sale, we stock up because they make sandwiches – which is an easy lunch option when we are ALL HOME, EVERY DAY.
