My four-year-old son Liam helped me wrap presents tonight and we had a lot of fun. He figured out how to use the tape dispenser and was my “tape man” as he called it. He wrapped the doll he bought for his sister and you could just see the JOY in his face as he put it under the tree, with the gift tag upside down and her name written on three different lines.
Meet George (pictured above). George will be celebrating his birthday this Sunday because it’s been exactly three years since Liam opened George up from under the tree Christmas day. George is a good and loyal friend who sleeps in Liam’s bed every night and is there in the morning to wish him a good morning. He’s part of the family.
Here is what Liam wrapped up for George for Christmas – complete with three bows, because one just wouldn’t do. Can you guess what it is?
We don’t have “bunches” of presents under the tree – but each gift is picked, wrapped and given with love. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. . .
