I got my Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid in the mail last week and I’ve been loving them! I put a bag full of mandarins in one of my jars and put it on my table. It makes me smile every time I look at it, so I had to share with you. Having them in the open like this – brightly displayed – we’ve all been enjoying them more frequently and they make a great after-dinner snack. The jar is a gallon-size so it fits between 3-4 pounds of mandarin oranges.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to decorating, so I love how this is bright, frugal and practical. I think I could put all sorts of things in the jar – and I’d love your ideas! Do you have a centerpiece on your table?
The Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid are $12.99 from Amazon, you need to select Amazon as the seller (right side of the page). I’ve heard from some readers that these might be cheaper at your local Walmart.

Cute! You could also try lemons or limes, or a combination. In case your kids eat them all! 🙂 I don’t do much decorating. We use our dining room for dinner every night, and I get tired of taking things off and putting them on again. Sometimes I’ll have a bowl of fruit out, but that usually doesn’t last long. 🙂
