A picture of the product is a fairly common thing to see on a coupon. Most of the time, the coupon is only good for one thing and it shows a picture of that one thing on the coupon. However, when the coupon is good off “any” variety of a product – they usually include a photo of the most EXPENSIVE item in the line of products.
Make-up coupons are famous for this one. A coupon can say $1 off any Maybelline product and it will show you the $15 bronzer, not the $1.99 eyeliner. So pay attention to the “fine print” not just the photo.
In honor of August being the back-to-school month, I’ll be posting a different coupon question/tutorial everyday for the month of August! Some of the posts will be really basic Coupon 101, but others will be more in depth. If you have a question you’d like me to cover, please leave a comment on this post or e-mail me!
