Update – Forgive me for not catching my error earlier, but the catalina is actually $3 off five. . .not three, so they come out to $0.75 cents a bag. Still a great deal, but not as good as I originally posted!
When I was at Fred Meyer on Sunday (see my post about my shopping trip here) I noticed the Chex Mix were only $1.50 – this seemed like a decent deal – but combine it with the catalina I just discovered and you’ve got yourself a stock-up price at only $0.33 cents each! they are $0.75 cents each!
Here are the catalina details:
Purchase Chex Mix or Chex 100 Calorie Snack (any flavor 4.5 oz or larger) between February 20 and March 18
Buy 3, get $1
Buy 4, get $2
Buy 5 or more, get $3
Here’s how it works:
Chex Mix – $1.50 each, buy four for $6
Use two (1) $0.50/2 Chex Mix or 100 Calorie Snack 01/08/2012 GM Insert (exp 03/03/2012)
or $0.40/2 Chex Mix or 100 Calorie Snack, 4.5 oz+ 02/26/2012 SS Insert (exp 04/21/2012)
or $0.50/2 Chex Mix, 4.5 oz+ OR Chex 100 Calorie Snack, Must Save Before 2/20/2012 Cellfire
Pay as little as $5 out of pocket for three
plus, get a $2 catalina off your next purchase!
It’s like paying $3 for four bags or only $0.75 cents each!
It’s not to early to be thinking about camping and other activities during the summer months – if you can keep from eating them before then!
If you aren’t familiar with catalinas – they print at the register on receipt like paper. You could use your $3 catalina from buying three Chex Mixes and buy three more, getting another catalina. It’s called “rolling” catalinas and it’s a great way to reduce your out of pocket. See my post: What is a Catalina? for more information.
