Stocking your pantry with Kroger $0.99 promotion {Feeding My Family}

Kroger Mix and Match Buy 5 Promotion

One of my favorite types of sales is the Mix and Match Buy 5 promotion you can often find at Kroger stores. If you are in the Pacific Northwest, that’s Fred Meyer or QFC. Not sure if you have a local Kroger store? Check Kroger-branded store list here.

I was looking at the Fred Meyer ad this week (September 20-26) and I saw a lot of stock-up prices!  This is a great week to work on your pantry stockpile (read my post about the importance of a pantry for saving money)

You do not need to buy in groups of five – it’s just five or more items included in the promotion (mix and match) and then the price drops to $0.99

Here are some of the the BEST stock-up prices from this week’s Fred Meyer ad:

Buy 5 promotion – must buy at least 5, mix-or-match:

Peanut Butter 16 oz – $0.99

Kroger Cream Cheese 8 oz – $0.99
Great for dips during the holiday season. Often far-dated, so you can stock-up for holidays.

Kroger frozen vegetables – $0.99
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen this price on frozen veggies.

Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes – $0.99
Wonderful for crockpot chili and for spanish rice (a great way to stretch budget on taco night)

Star Kist Wild Caught Tuna – $0.99

Campbell’s condensed soup – $0.99
If you make Green Bean casserole for the holidays – this is a great price.

Kroger pasta – $0.99

You can check the website for the Buy 5, pay $0.99 promotion but I want to stop into the store and make my own list – I don’t think the ad is complete and the prices are confusing online. If you make it into the store and find other deals – please share!

PLEASE READ . . . Feeding My Family Series “Fine Print” – This series is meant as a guide to help you turn deals into meals. Every family has its own budget, dietary needs, diet choices and preferences. Manager markdowns vary by store, day and time – there is no guarantee that you’ll find similar markdowns at your local store, but it gives you an idea of what to look for. I will not tolerate any shaming or derogatory comments about my purchases or those of other people sharing their savings. Take the tips that will work for you and if something doesn’t align with your family needs – keep scrolling, without comment. If you have recipes or money saving tips, please share!

What they’re saying

Queen Bee has been my go to for many years. Not only how to save on the family grocery budget. But, how to shop. From grocerys to clothes to household. She has saved us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars cumulatively over the years. Thank You! Debby F.

Queen Bee has been one of my favorite pages to follow! A friend kept sharing her deals so I had to start following and I’m so glad I did. I have been able to purchase so many items at great prices because of her posts. She is great about commenting back to questions or even just saying thanks to people who let her know they picked up an item she posted! Christine R.

Queen Bee is an amazing site with great deals no doubt, but my favorite parts are the snippets of silliness, morning coffee, amazing second hand finds. Queen Bee has saved me lots of money, but it's also brightened many a days! Tilla H.

Queen bee has helped me to make Christmas awesome for my kids every year. We follow the blog and are able to stay in budget and get twice as many items for the family. They are the best!! Jessica T.

Can always count on QueenBee for great deals from many different stores ! She's always keeping us well informed, saved a lot throughout the years, been following for a good 7 years ! Cathy L.
