Even though it doesn’t have a physical store front, Amazon gives all other retailers a run for their money on Black Friday and throughout the holiday season. I do my best to keep you in the loop about Amazon sales – Black Friday or otherwise, but here are some tips for finding the best deals on Amazon this holiday season:
- You can keep an eye on the Amazon Black Friday Deals page. I’ll let you know when they start updating it. I added a link to it in my right side bar.
- Watch the Amazon Gold Box Deal of the Day page. It’s updated at midnight PST every night with a new deal. The deals come from every department on Amazon. The deal is only available for one day, while supplies last.
- Watch the Amazon Holiday Toy List page for deals on toys and all things kids-related. They also have lightning toy deals, which is how I purchased a lot of gifts last year.
- Here on the Queen Bee site Click on Amazon in the store navigation menu (above) to always see the latest Amazon deals.
- Sign up for my daily email here – it ends up in your inbox around 2 p.m. everyday and it’s a round-up of the daily deals. I don’t spam you or sell your email.
- Follow me on Facebook. This one is kind of a joke because from what I can see on Facebook, my posts only show up on a very small percentage of your news feeds. But I guess it can’t hurt to try! The more you engage with a page on Facebook (liking posts, commenting on posts) – the more likely Facebook is to show you posts from that page.
My commitment to you. I do the Grandma test on all my deals. I won’t post any deal (Amazon or otherwise) that I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing with my Grandma or a best friend or my sister – or anyone else that I care a lot about. A lot of times I see bloggers posting deals that aren’t really deals (sorry it’s true) – but before I post a deal, I’ve taken the time to compare the price with other retailers online – to make sure it truly is a “deal”. Sometimes Amazon has an inflated “regular price” – so although it might appear to be 50% off – if I find it’s available at numerous retailers for that same price, then it’s not a deal that I would generally post. I try to find deals that are at least 40% off or more. On some of the more popular products or brands, such as video games, video game consoles, computers, cameras, TVs, and the super-popular toys – this kind of discount isn’t available, so I make a judgment call about the deal – and post it if I think it’s a good bet. I also take into consideration product reviews and durability – so I won’t always post the cheapest deals, because I’ll read reviews and find out they aren’t worth the money – even if they are cheap. I prefer to post deals for high-quality, brand-name products that I believe are stand-up deals.
Did you know? When you click through an Amazon link here on Queen Bee, and you shop on Amazon, you are supporting the Queen Bee site. This is true for any blogger who posts Amazon deals – they make commissions off Amazon sales. When you go to make a purchase, we are so thankful if you first visit our site and click through an Amazon banner (in the right nav bar) or an Amazon link on your way to shop. The Amazon price for you does not change – but your purchase then supports Queen Bee and helps us to keep offering the site for FREE without crazy, obnoxious advertising (which I don’t think I’d ever do anyway). We are so grateful for your support and I PROMISE we won’t take it for granted. We also won’t post deals just for the sake of getting you to shop. That’s just NOT how we roll around here. 🙂 If you have any questions about this, I’m always available to answer them and you can read more in our Disclosure policy here.
Do you have questions about shopping on Amazon? What kind of deals are you looking for this holiday season? How can I help you enjoy the holiday season, and find decent deals, without the pressure to buy, buy, buy!? I’d love your thoughts on this – please leave a comment!

I really dig your Amazon posting philosophy. While it is true, Amazon is incredibly competitive, they can at times also be tricky. A blogger recently posted a “deal” on a particular Lego set and that Amazon had it for 47% off. If that blogger had done their homework they would have learned that Amazon jacked the price up $50 so when it went on sale, it appeared to look like it was almost half off except that every other retailer was selling it for $50 less so really it was only 19% off the retail price and not 47% like Amazon was advertising. Having Wishlists set up really helps keep me abreast of whats truly a bargain and what isn’t.

I check your site several times daily because you are one of the few sites that list TRUE deals. I’ve scored so many great things from you that I would be happy to support your site. 🙂
