My Albertsons DOUBLER shopping trip, spent $5.20, plus $3 catalina for later

I stopped into Albertsons today after hearing about a toothbrush money maker from my friend Mavis. I did three transactions with DOUBLER coupons and I was able to score everything pictured above (plus two boxes of pasta I forgot to include) for only $5.20, PLUS I have a $3 catalina I still have to spend. So you could argue it only cost me $2.20.

Transaction #1

Three (3) kid’s Reach toothbrushes – $2.50 each
One (1) box of Everyday Essentials pasta – $1
Subtotal would have been = $8.50

Used three (3) $1/1 Reach kid’s toothbrush coupons from 7/29 Red Plum
Used one (1) $1/1 Everyday Essentials item coupon from Sizzlin Summer Giveaway coupon booklet
Used three (3) Twice the Value/DOUBLER coupons
Final total = $2.15 out of pocket ($1.50 for toothbrushes, plus tax)

PLUS I received a catalina for $3 off my next purchase!
It was an $0.85 cent moneymaker!

 Transaction #2 (same thing)

For some reason I only received a $2 catalina on my second purchase. I’m really not sure why because the catalina promotion says buy three (3) Reach toothbrushes receive $3 off your next order. I will call the Catalina Corporation and see if they can correct this.

Transaction #3

Two (2) General Mills Multi-Grain cheerios – $1.88
One (1) Precious Ricotta cheese – $2.99 (reg. $5.99 – $3 manager markdown)
One (1) Planters trail mix – $2.39
Two (2) Bayer Low Dose aspirin – $2.69
Subtotal would have been = $17.52

Used one (1) $1/2 General Mills Cereals 07/15/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/25/2012)
Used one (1) $1/1 Precious Ricotta or Fresh Mozzarella Cheese 06/24/2012 SS Insert (exp 09/30/2012)
Used one (1) $1/1 Planters 06/24/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/31/2012)
Used two (2) $3/1 Bayer Aspirin 06/24/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/18/2012)
Used three (3) Twice the Value/DOUBLER coupons
Final total was = $2.90

Used $2 catalina from Transaction #2
Final out of pocket = $0.90 cents!
*I received overage on the Bayer Aspirin coupon, per Albertsons coupon policy to give overage when the coupon is more than the product.*

I ended up spending $5.20 out of pocket and I have a $3 catalina to use on my next transaction.

Here are the details on the Reach toothbrush catalina offer:

Buy (2) get $2 off your next order
Buy (3) get $3 off your next order
Buy (4) get $4 off your next order
Expires 9/2/12

The cereal I purchased has $1/1 MultiGrain Cheerio Peanut Butter coupons on the back – which I might bring back and double to get that FREE (it’s on sale for $1.88)! I have two more sets of doublers to use.

See other Albertsons deals here. Send in your Albertsons shopping trips to thehive@queenbeetoday.com! Please try and include a photo (not blurry, good lighting) and a description of what you purchased and what coupons you used.

(Thanks, One Hundred Dollars a Month!)

What insert is the Reach coupon in? It says 8/1 SS but there isn’t one unless I missed it. 🙂

Doh! It should be 7/29 Red Plum insert. I’ll fix the post. Sorry!

Queen Bee has been one of my favorite pages to follow! A friend kept sharing her deals so I had to start following and I’m so glad I did. I have been able to purchase so many items at great prices because of her posts. She is great about commenting back to questions or even just saying thanks to people who let her know they picked up an item she posted! Christine R.

Queen Bee is an amazing site with great deals no doubt, but my favorite parts are the snippets of silliness, morning coffee, amazing second hand finds. Queen Bee has saved me lots of money, but it's also brightened many a days! Tilla H.
