My Albertsons Round-up Trip – Spent $7.14, saved $40.67

I spent the last three days trying to decide if I should even bother going to Albertsons – I wasn’t sure I’d find anything left as part of the Coupon Round-Up Event at my local store. Well I ended up going and I’m so glad that I did! I spent only $7.14 (over $1 was tax!) on all the items pictured – saving $40.67 with coupons and store sales.

Before I go into detail about what I bought, let me first say KUDOS  to Albertsons! This promotion is soooo easy compared to the doubler or “Twice the Value” coupons. The computer automatically rounded up my coupons. No multiple transaction, no needing doubler coupons, no slowing down the line. I got a taste of what couponers in the midwest get to experience – using coupons without the added hassle and I LOVED it! So thank you Albertsons for your round-up events and please consider doing them more often. 🙂 Do others agree?

Now to the deals. . . here’s how it all shakes out:

Colgate toothpaste – $0.99, with in-ad coupon (limit 4)
$0.50/1 Colgate toothpaste, 4 oz+ 07/29/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/18/2012) – rounds up to $1
Final price = FREE

Carefree liners – $0.99 cents
$0.50/1 Stayfree, Carefree, or o.b. 07/29/2012 RP Insert (exp 08/31/2012) – rounds up to $1
or $0.50/1 Carefree 07/22/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/31/2012)  – rounds up to $1
Final price = FREE

Stayfree pads – $3.39, buy 2 get one FREE
Used three (3) $2/1 Stayfree 07/22/2012 SS Insert (exp 08/31/2012)
Final price = $0.78 for three or $0.26 cents a package!

Libby’s canned vegetables – 4 for $3
Used $1/4 Libby’s printable coupon (no longer available)
Final price = 4 for $2 – or $0.50 cents each!
*Great price for brand name canned veggies*

Foster Farms lunch meat – $4.29, with $2 Manager Markdown coupon = $2.29
$0.55/1 Foster Farms printable coupon – rounds up to $1
Final price = $1.29!

My total came to $6.03 with $1.11 tax for a grand total of $7.14! I think I did pretty good, don’t you?

See all our Albertsons posts here – there are a bunch this week, you can scroll through and look for Round-Up deals!

My Albertsons wouldn’t let me use the $0.75/1 any Colgate Max Fresh,Colgate Total,Colgate Optic White, or Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste 4oz. or larger because they said none of the toothpaste listed on the coupon is the one that the in-ad coupon applies to. Did anyone have this problem or can someone tell me if it is suppose to work still?
    Thank you

My Albertsons would not increase the toothpaste coupons so I could get my toothpaste for free. I still got 2 for $.25 and 2 for $.50, but did anyone else run into this?

My Albertsons in Kingston had a store coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase that included Stayfree and Band Aid! I used all my rounded up coupons for the liners and got some Band Aids free after I rounded up coupons on them too.
