Wahoo! There is a major coupon stack with sale at Safeway to get you Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch for only $0.13 cents a box!
Tonight I got everything pictured above for $1.52. Here’s how it all shook out:
General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios cereal – $1.88 with in-ad coupon
$1 off any General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios Safeway e-coupon – these seemed to come off BOTH!
plus used two $0.75/1 General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch Cereal printable coupon
Final price = as low as $0.13 cents each or $0.26 cents
Peanut Butter Toast Crunch – $1.88 with in-ad coupon
Used two $1.25/1 printable coupons (no longer available)
Final price = $0.63 cents each x 2 = $1.26
Safeway SELECT Simmer Sauce = $3.49
FREE Safeway SELECT Simmer or Slow Cooker Sauce (16 oz)
Final price = FREE
My transaction total was only $1.52, with a savings of $18.94. Not too bad!
Because you probably don’t have the $1.25/1 Peanut Butter Toast Crunch coupons, here’s what I recommend you try, it’s a better deal anyway:
BUY 4 – General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios cereal – $1.88 with in-ad coupon
$1 off any General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios Safeway e-coupon – this should come off ALL four!
plus used four (4) $0.75/1 General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch Cereal printable coupon (you’ll need two computers)
Final price = as low as $0.13 cents each or $0.52 for 4 boxes of cereal
*The $1/1 Safeway e-coupon is one-time. So this will work on one transaction per card. If you did a SECOND transaction, I do not believe they would come off again. The in-ad coupon is limit 4, so this is the max you can get for the deal.
Had I known the $1/1 Safeway e-coupon would have come off FOUR times, I would have probably just bought all four boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch. But I never know until checkout.
Side note: Safeway, Safeway, Safeway. I wish I could understand how all your coupons work. I find myself going in armed with all my e-coupons, printable coupons and Sunday paper coupons without really knowing what will happen at checkout. It’s my understanding, at least from what I hear from Safeway, is the computer is supposed to calculate the best savings and give it to you. And I’m not sure I’m complaining – because it almost always works out to a great deal, but it would be easier to plan if I knew what would work/not work at the register. Does anyone else feel this way?

I got 2 of the pb toast crunch and 2 of the honey nut medley crunch. for some odd reason they took the $1.25 x 2 cpns meant for the pb cereal off off the honey nut medley crunch and the 75 cents x 2 cpns meant for the honey nut crunch off of the pb cereal. I love all the savings options at safeway but it is getting to be so confusing. my head aches before i even enter the store and aches even more leaving it.

I did this deal yesterday. It is a better deal than expected. You end up paying .71 for 2 bags with the B1G1FREE and the $1.50 each added to your card.
Here’s how it looks on paper:
2 QTY POPCHIPS KATY
RegPrice: $5.58
CardSavings: $1.58
J4U Store eCpn: .50
J4U Mfr eCpn: $2.79 (the FULL reg price!)
= .71/2 or .35 each! 🙂

So I tried the pop chip deals today and my OOP came out to be $0.51 total for 2 bags of chips. The original price in my store was $2.99 each.

Oh goodness, I sure feel the same way! I am a loyal Safeway shopper! Love it! Love the JFY program! But it’s just not consistent! However, I will tell you, I always check my receipt before leaving and always head to customer service to get more money back! Just show them your JFY on your phone or printed list and they will honor it! I have yet to have a problem. I’ve been given as much as $20 back in cash!!!

Ok, so I loaded the 2 e-coupons for Popchips Katys Kettle Korn. One is to get them for $1.50, and the other is to BOGO free. So I sholud be able to get 2 bags for $1.50? I’m afraid to try! There is a $1 off coupon on their website-under pop buzz at the top you can upload a message and a coupon pops up. I couldn’t print it right now, since I can’t have Java on my iPad…so I don’t know if it’s off 1 bag or more. Hopefully I can try it again from the computer.

I feel exactly the same way! Its hard to tell what is going to work or not with them. Today the machine tried to say that one of my coupons was expired even though it clearly wasn’t. The cashier just chuckled at the machine and pushed it through anyway, so I don’t know if I trust the computers 100%.
