After my doubler run to Albertsons I went to QFC and I feel like I totally scored here, too! I spent only $31.88 on everything pictured above and I saved $47.19 after coupons and sales (actually saved more than that because that doesn’t count the markdown savings).
The KEY to me saving today was I had received a QFC mailer that had a ton of coupons in it – including one for $5 off $50 purchase (which just has to be before coupons), FREE Private Selection bacon ($3.50 value), $1 off produce, $1 off dairy and more. The other important factor was finding manager markdowns, or items that have been “clearanced” out – look for bright yellow and orange stickers.
Here are some of the highlights:
Private Selection bacon – $3.50
FREE coupon from mailer
Final price = FREE
Fresh Express salad – $0.99, manager markdown
Used $0.75/1 Fresh Express coupon from mailer
Final price = $0.24 cents!
5 pound bag of organic yellow potatoes – $0.99, manager markdown
They look in good shape – will probably eat them later this week! Bought two bags.
Totino’s Family sized pizzas – $1.29, manager markdown
These aren’t set to expire until the end of September – maybe marked down because they are getting rid of that size pizza?
Bag of lemons – $0.99, manager markdown
Penny’s Creamy Hummus (locally made!) – $2, manager markdown
Jingos – $1.49 (on sale thru today!)
$1/1 Jingo printable coupon
Final price = $0.49 cents!
*stock up price*
Ore-Ida Grillers – $1.99, part of buy 10, save $5 promotion
$1/1 Ore-Ida Grillers coupon (I think from Family Fun magazine?)
Final price = $0.99 cents
Planet Laundry soap (eco-friendly) – $3.44, on clearance
Regular price was $11! Lots on shelf. Also have powdered for $2.09.
Thomas Wheat English Muffins – $1.99 – as part of buy 10, save $5 promotion
Ginormous International Delight creamers – $2.49, as part of buy 10, save $5 promotion
$1.50/1 International Delight printable coupon (no longer available?)
Final price = $0.99 cents
Private selection tortilla chips – $2.69
Buy one, get one FREE tear pad
Final price = $1.35 each
Green beans – $1.49 a pound
Simple Truth organic, free range eggs – $2.99

Those are just highlights – did you find anything good at QFC or a Kroger store this week?

How does one get on the mailers?
Heather says
Good question! It’s part of your QFC card. You can call QFC customer service and make sure you’re on the “okay to mail to” list. Then I think you need to shop there regularly?
