Rise and Shine is my way of sitting down and having a cup of coffee with you! We talk about the new deals of the day, highlights from yesterday, and anything else that might help us save time, money or energy.
Good morning! How’s it going today? Well the last couple days have been interesting for me! My sister is in town with her husband and their adorable little 5-month-old son. We drove over to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to visit my Great Grandma, Aunt/Uncle, cousin and her kids. My parents flew into Post Falls, Idaho to meet us all. The weekend was filled with fun family time. We tried to drive back over the pass on Tuesday and the pass closed about 30 minutes before we reached the summit. Gahh! Because we had little ones with us, we turned around at Cle Elum and camped out in Ellensburg, just to be safe. Turned out to be a good decision because the pass was closed until 10 p.m.! We ended up staying in a Super 8 motel and driving back yesterday morning. Some things are just out of your control – but we were listening to 1610 AM, checking the WSDOT app on our phones and watching the WSDOT Twitter account – so we knew the minute the pass closed and were able to make a safe choice!
Late last night we published our Costco Price List! It has 600 update prices and it’s all listed by unit price, so you can easily compare the prices to those at your local grocery store! See the whole Costco Price list here. I’d love to know what you think!

I keep meaning to comment about this – thank you for working up these Costco lists. I know how much work goes into them. It’s a huge help for me and gives a good baseline for prices for my husband when he does our Costco run (he’s the warehouse shopper in our house). Thanks so much Heather.

Alyshia – Thank you for taking the time to comment. So glad you find the list helpful – it does take a lot of work to put together, but we find it so valuable it’s worth it!
I don't shop @ Walmart says
I don’t see prices for meds: Advil, Vitamins, … What is stock up price for Advil?
Heather Clarke says
Hmmm, well that’s a good question! We so rarely buy it, that I’m not a good person to ask, maybe someone else can chime in. I’m guessing Costco is not the best place to buy meds because the drug stores have such amazing deals on these. But I’m not sure?!?
Anne says
Target and Rite Aid both have deals every 3 months or so where you can get Advil for free or nearly free (like less than a $1 for a 50 ct bottle). For someone who needs it immediately and a large quantity, the Kirkland brand is probably a better, no coupon needed deal than Target or Rite Aid’s generics.
Heather Clarke says
Thank you Anne!!!
