Went to Target today and found loads and loads of toys on clearance 30 to 50% off! There was multiple end-caps loaded with toys and lots of toys marked down within the aisles.
If you can wait a week or two, I’m guessing these will drop up to 75% off. Most of it’s still 30% off. If you really want an item, you can buy it now and see if it goes on sale to 50 or 75% off. If it does go down further, you can always just return the one you bought (don’t open it and save your receipt) at 30% and buy it at 50 or 75%.
I saw Imaginext little toys, GI Joy figures, girls princess dress-up outfits, Thomas the Train items, board games (like Clue), Prince of Persia, Hello Kitty, Fisher Price Little People, Handy Manny, Parent brand toys, My Little Ponies, etc.
You might want to be thinking about summer or fall birthdays that are coming up and possibly even Christmas. . .gasp!
I took some photos so you could get an idea of the kind of toys are clearanced at my local store (Sleater-Kinney in Lacey, WA).
I also saw Mariner’s items clearanced out:
There was also clearance in the kid’s clothes and pretty big mark downs in the lawn/garden furniture.
Remember that clearance varies by store and region. You may want to call ahead and see if your store has marked down their toys yet. . .both the selection and the schedule can be different.
I hope you’re able to find some treasures! Let me know if you do!

Heather – WOW! Your store has a ton of clearance. LUCKY!! Last year, they toy department went to 75% off on July 29th & 30th, so hopefully, by the end of the month they will go down to 75% off. I love this time of year, I pick up so much stuff for birthdays and Christmas.
Target will not do price adjustments on clearance though, so you will have to re-buy and then return with the first receipt.

Hey Christy,
Thanks for the tip on toys going to 75% off at the end of the month. . .with baby due Aug. 2, I’m hoping they clearance it out to 75% off sooner!! Good to know that Target won’t price adjust clearance. I’ll update my post with that information!
