This morning my daughter and I stopped into Target. She has been saving her money and she had Christmas cash and a Target gift card to spend. We have purposely been waiting for the Target toy clearance to pick up before going into the store – because my kids love those red clearance tags as much as I do.
I shared some of the photos over on Instagram – full aisles and lots of items ringing up at a greater discount than priced. We were shocked to find some items were priced 70% off – usually that doesn’t happen for another week!!
In fact, my sweet daughter (who is four years old) saw this Hello Kitty 6-volt ride-on car (with bonus scooter) on the shelf and figured it was out of her budget. But when a Target employee scanned it for us – we found out it was $56 (reg. $189). The tag on it said $128, so I’m so glad we checked it! She also got a Hello Kitty radio/CD player/Bluetooth Boom Box for $19.99 (reg. $49), Hello Kitty Ukulele for $9.99 (reg. $19.99), Sofia princess headphones $9.99 (reg. $19.99), doll house furniture $8.59 (reg. $16.99) and some Sophia lip balm $2.49. We could have waited until the 50% off items dropped to 70% off, but we don’t got to Target very often, so it’s likely we would have missed them.
Please remember that clearance varies by store. It is not guaranteed that you’ll find these same deals at your store. We found the boom box and ukulele in the electronics section and the lip balm in the cosmetics section – but everything else was in the toy section. Don’t get your hopes up or make a special trip – there is no guarantee that your store is even 50% off yet. Check out this week’s Target coupon deals, in case the clearance ends up being a bust – you can at least get some other deals!

Also Lacey, Washington Target store. My daughter is busting a move, dancing to a Hello Kitty rockstar doll, which we did not buy. 🙂
Lacey, Washington Target store. The Barbies in the bottom left corner are cool – you twist their crowns and their dresses change color! They are $10.99 (reg. $22). Duplos are likely 15% off, not 30% off. The headphones on the middle shelf are 50% off – $9.99. Last month, my daughter broke the last two pairs of Leapster headphones I’ve purchased her – so I told her if she wanted a third pair, it would have to be with her own money. She picked out the Sophia ones – with a crown!
Although the sign says 30% off, check the tags and scan – many items are 50% off (Cabbage Patch dolls are not 50% off, yet)
Photo taken at West Olympia, Washington location. The Hello Kitty boom boxes were actually cheaper at the West Olympia store than Lacey Target. We got a price adjustment – it was nearly $8 difference. I didn’t know there could be a difference like that – I though if an item was clearanced out in the system that it would be across all the stores.
Also at the West Olympia, Washington Target store.
Quite a few LEGO sets included in the sale – but the price discounts seemed like 10 – 15% off at most. I think you might even find them they are cheaper on Amazon. Just price match the Amazon price, if that’s the case.
This picture was taken by my mother-in-love at the Lakewood, Washington Target. The LEGO Friends set was actually 50% off – but most LEGOs are still 15% off, from what I can find.

We’d love to hear from you – what deals are you finding at your local store? Take photos and share them on the Queen Bee Facebook page or email me at thehive@queenbeetoday.com.
