Secondhand Sundays
It’s getting to be garage sale season, so I’m starting a new series – Secondhand Sundays. Shopping secondhand can be an amazing way to save money and you can find some true treasures by thrifting! Send in your secondhand treasures and if I feature your score here on the blog, you’ll get a $10 Amazon gift card!
- I’ll be featuring one secondhand score each Sunday
- If I feature your thrift-store or garage sale treasure here on the blog you’ll get a $10 Amazon gift card!
- Please email me a photo at thehive@queenbeetoday.com – include in the email a short description of what you found secondhand, what you paid for it and what you think it retails for. Use subject line Secondhand Treasure when you send the email.
- Try to take a photo that is not blurry and is in good light (try natural light, no flash, if possible). The better your photo the more likely it will be to make it on the site. People want to see what you got!
- If you bought something secondhand and restored it or improved it somehow – I’d love before and after photos!
Here’s an example – today I stopped into my first garage sale of the year and I found two vintage (1981) Strawberry Shortcake metal TV trays for just $3 each. These are selling for $25 on Ebay! I don’t collect much, but I do have a big collection of vintage Strawberry Shortcake items from my childhood and from collecting over the years!
Last November I scored this TV stand at Goodwill for $15!
In February I found this Guess Who Star Wars game for just $1.99! Currently going for $18 on Amazon: Guess Who Star Wars. My son loves playing it (wearing his Clone Trooper costume). 🙂
Or last September I bought this sturdy wooden table for $6.99 and a brand new pair of Banana Republic shoes for just $4.99, plus some books.
So it’s that easy. You send in a photo of your secondhand treasures and if I feature it on the site you get $10 to spend on Amazon! I’m hoping it will encourage everyone to try out thrift shops and garage sales this summer to save big!
Send in your treasure – I’d love to feature it tomorrow!
