Good morning! It’s time to rise and shine!
Last night we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. I had a moment of weakness and the suggestion escaped my mouth before I could stop it. I can only blame this incessant rain for my moment of insanity. My son proclaimed it the best day of his life, again, and of course they had a great time even if it’s the most UNFRUGAL thing you can do with $20. They walked out with amazing treasures – worth less than a $1. But they did have fun and that – is definitely worth something. Life is not always about how much money you save – but the memories you make, too. And we save in other areas for little splurges every once in a while. We didn’t eat there – we ate before we went and that helped a little bit. If you happen to have a similar moment of insanity and find yourself there – here are some Chuck E. Cheese coupons – they’ll get you a whopping 10 free tokens.
I was certain I’d watch the season 1 finale of Downton Abbey last night but the mouse house wore me out and I just couldn’t muster the energy. Hopefully tonight – the suspense is killing me! (You can get a free one-month trial of Netflix here and join the party.)
Now for things you actually might care about. . .
Click the Home Depot banner above and sign up for the Home Depot Garden Club. It’s free. I’ve been a member for the last two years and I love the coupons that I get in my email.
Yesterday we posted the first of SIX articles on saving money on your wedding! Yesterday’s article was all about saving money on wedding invitations. This series is written by a very dear friend of mine, Rebecca Grant, who happens to be a premiere wedding planner in Seattle. She is GOOD. And as sweet as can be. If you sign up for their emails you get I troductory coupons that are great! And if you have more than 1 email account sign it up next time you go. This is the only way we go there! The coupons show up within minutes of subscribing and they have incentive pages if you want, the kids can earn free tokens and you just have to vouch for the fact the child fulfilled the requirements.

On the back of one of the inserts either this week or last week their were several chuck e cheese coupons, and if you sign up for their birthday club your child will get 20 free tokens coupon to use in and around their birthdays and on their 1/2 birthday, so every six months. 🙂 My son and daughter have birthdays a day apart so we use this about every six months and they get 20 free tokens each, thats $5.00 worth of free games.

I was at Chuck E Cheese last night too! I thought I saw you! I whispered to my mom and husband “I think thats the Queen Bee!” She encouraged me to go say Hi but I would have been mortified if it wasn’t you. So I stayed in my seat and was star struck! I hope you guys had fun. My kids had a blast! 🙂
Heather says
Oh that’s funny! Next time come up and said hi. My kids did have a blast – that place is madness!
