Good morning!
If you are NEW around here thanks to hearing about the Great Wolf Lodge Giveaway, welcome! Besides occasionally giving away very cool things, we have a lot of fun around here. Specifically we save a lot of money around here. Coupons, sales, online deals, money-saving tips, recipes and more. We try to BEE more with less. 🙂 I’m glad you’re here and I hope you stick around! We have lots planned for the next couple months.
And if you haven’t yet, you should enter to win the Great Wolf Lodge Giveaway. It’s for up to 7 people and valued at $369. It’s going to be awesome.
Yesterday I opened up and shared my whole philosophy around Amazon, posting deals and shopping for the holiday season. It might be helpful to read and you’ll know what you can expect from me when it comes to posting Amazon deals, which will heat up even more in the next few weeks.
Oh and Happy Halloween! My costume this year is really good. I’m dressing up as a mom. The super hero cape is hidden beneath my average, everyday clothes. I’m such a super hero that I still haven’t purchased candy to pass out tonight. I’ll be going to Safeway this morning and hoping there is something left that won’t leave me with an egged house. 🙂
LAST DAY to send in your photos for Future Couponer contest. You can win some serious Amazon cash! I cannot wait to share the photos with all of you, there are some cuties! The photos don’t have to be fancy, just take your best photo and send it in!
COUPONS
LAST DAY to print your coupons before they disappear or reset tonight.
I spotted a new coupon this morning for $3 off any one Huggies Snug and Dry diapers (Jumbo size or larger). This is a rare printable coupon these days. Use zip code 90210 if you don’t see it right away.
You’ll want to go through your coupon binder or box and clean out all the coupons that expire 10/31/12! Need help organizing your coupons? Check out my coupon binder organization post or my coupon box organization post. Lately I’ve been using the box, but usually switch back and forth to keep things from getting too boring. 🙂
FAVORITE DEALS
Most of the grocery deals for this week have been posted Safeway, QFC, Albertsons (reports of doublers), and TOP/Food and Haggen will be up later today. The ads actually don’t start until tomorrow this week due to the holiday.
Speaking of Safeway, I got an email yesterday from Rachel who discovered she had a Safeway Just for U coupon for $2.80 off any Huggies wipe product. She ended up getting 10 boxes of the 64 ct wipes for only $0.19 cents each. I only had a $2 off Huggies coupon – but you might want to check your Safeway Just for U account. Pay special attention to the fine print on your Just for U coupons – it can say “one time use” but if it doesn’t list a quantity limit this means you can buy multiples in one transaction and it should come off of ALL the items.
Beginning tomorrow, JCPenney is offering for FREE family photos during November! If you haven’t booked your sitting, do it soon. I’m sure they’ll fill up.
RECIPES & MEAL PLANNING
Whew. We made it through Crock-tober. I don’t know what I was thinking publishing 16 slow cooker recipes in one month – but I’m glad I did! What was your favorite recipe? Thank you to everyone who sent in a recipe. I feel like we should have a big party to celebrate – potluck style. We’d have a line of slow cookers along the wall and it would be the coolest.
Check back at 10:30 a.m. PST for a whole chicken in the slow cooker recipe! It’s so easy it’s ridiculous. Oh, and I’m giving away another $25 Fred Meyer gift card.
Kid’s eat FREE tonight at Outback steakhouse with adult purchase. And Olive Garden is also a similar promotion – kids must wear costume and get FREE meal with adult meal purchase.
Did you get your FREE taco yesterday at Taco Bell?
What’s for dinner tonight?

Loved your crocktober recipes, it’s been a little crazy around here so I have only tried one recipe so far.
We made the Santa Fe Chicken, but used shredded pork instead (I already had some cooked and shredded in the freezer so it was easier to use than chicken.)
It was fabulous! I was planning on putting it in tortillas, but it was a bit too juicy so we used tortilla chips instead.
I love all of the extra tips, tricks and fun you share on your blog!

I checked my U card with Safeway and only had the $2 coupon too. There have been times when I will get items completely free, like last week it was FREE Oreo cookies. They always seem to be in a weird spot, the Free Oreos were under Beverages, go figure.
I did get our FREE taco last night. Thanks Taco Bell.
