Safeway – broccoli $0.97/lb, chicken drumsticks/thighs $0.99/lb
On my way home from the gym this morning I stopped into Safeway to pick up some broccoli, cauliflower and chicken. They have an e-coupon for the broccoli and cauliflower making it only $0.97/lb – a wonderful price! Chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks and chicken quarters are all $0.99/lb.

Here’s what I purchased. . .
Broccoli, 2.83 pounds – $2.72, e-coupon
Cauliflower, 4.98 pounds – $4.79, e-coupon
Strawberries, 2 lbs – $5, in-store special (Tumwater, Washington store)
I like having fresh berries to put into my steel cut oats.
Chicken drumsticks – $4.13
Chicken thighs – $6.25
I plan to roast these in the oven with potatoes and vegetables.
Green onions – $1.29
I have some tofu and mushrooms. . . hoping to make Hot & Sour Soup
Greek Oikos Lemon Meringue – $0.62 cents each
