Seahawks Party Ideas

It’s no secret that we are hardcore Seahawks fans in our house. Just for fun I came up with a list of recipes, foods and drinks I think would be fun a Seahawks party.  I’d love to hear what your favorite Seahawks-style foods would be, too!

Seahawks-Rice-Krispies-Green-Blue

Blue and Green rice Krispies

Make three (or more smaller batches of Rice Krispies) and color them with food coloring. Layer them in a non-stick pan, preferably sprayed with non-stick baking spray. Add in blue or green sprinkles or Skittles. Get the details for Seahawks Rice Krispies Treats here.

Russells-sprouts-dip-russell-wilson-seahawks

Russell Sprout Cheesy Dip

Think artichoke dip. But with brussell sprouts instead of artichokes. In honor of Seattle’s main man Russell Wilson this gooey dip can be served with crostinis, crackers or bread. Get recipe for Russells Sprouts cheesy dip here.

 Seahawks-jello-salad-blueberries-game-day-ideas

Seahawk salad with blueberries

Watergate salad is such a very easy salad. And it’s green. Add blueberries and you have a green and blue dessert “salad.” My kids LOVE this recipe. Get the recipe for Seahawks Salad with Blueberries here.

Seahawks-food-ideas-blue-chips-guacamole

Blue corn chips with guacamole

Blue foods are hard to find. But you should be able to find blue corn chips at most major retailers. Serve up with some homemade guacamole and you have a groovy duo. Get more details for the Blue Chips and Guacamole here.

Seahawks-12th-man-cupcakes

Seahawks cupcakes

I have seen Key Lime cake mix on the market and I bet you could make some beautiful lime green cupcakes with that mix and then mix up some store brought frosting with blue food coloring.  You can pipe a simple #12 onto the top of the cupcakes

Seahawks-Cupcakes-Helmet-Ideas

. . .or go with some type of Seahawks decoration.

Other Seahawks food ideas:

Seahawks-Skittles-Seahawks-Party

Skittles – Marshawn Lynch eats Skittles after every touchdown. Every Seahawks fan should stock up on Skittles.

Skittles Original Candy, 9 Ounce

In fact, Amazon has the Skittles Original Candy, 9 Ounce for $1.29 (add-on item).  A single pack is just under 2 ounces, so this is a GREAT deal.  BEST price it has been on Amazon.  Perfect for you Seahawks fans that need your Skittles fix!

Hilliards-the-12th-can-beer

Hilliard’s 12th Can beer – I found this beer at Safeway, Trader Joe’s. It’s not cheap. You get 12 cans for $19.99 (Safeway) or $18.99 (Trader Joe’s). They are pints so larger than regular beers. Outside of the Puget Sound I’m guessing this will be hard to find.

12th-man-beer-pale-ale-dicks-seahawks

Dick’s Brewing 12th Man Pale Ale – Found this at Safeway, also not cheap, but delicious as well. This has also been spotted at Costco! It’s about $25.99 for 24 cans – not cheap, but a fun splurge. Brewed in Centralia by Dick’s Brewing Company.

Jones-Soda-Seahawks-Seattle

Jones soda – Made in Seattle, they come in brilliant blue or green. I’ve seen this with Seahawks themed photographs before, but it’s been awhile!

Bubble Yum – Pete Caroll’s gum of chomping choice for the game

Skittles vodka – Add skittles to vodka, let sit until it’s dissolved. I’m guessing you then mix it with other ingredients to make a mixed drink, I have no idea.

Other ideas for your Seahawks party:

  • Wilson wings – hot wings, served with BLUE cheese
  • Seahawks Ice Cream Float – Vanilla ice cream and blue Jones soda. I don’t know how it will taste, but I bet it looks nice!
  • Shop the Dollar Tree for inexpensive green/blue plates and cutlery
  • Check fabric stores for Seahawks material
  • Etch or paint Seahawks logo onto wine glasses or margarita glasses

What am I leaving out? Please, please, leave me a comment and let me know what you’re doing for your Seahawks party!

Party City has Seahawks plates and napkins. They also sell candy by the piece. I picked up a few dollars worth of blue and green colored candies for my table. Fred Meyer had the Seahawk plastic tablecloth for $6.99.

My wife picked as 12 pack of 12 Man Pale Ale at Grocery Outlet for $5.99. I would do anything to get that $5.99 back ….. and spend it creating the other great treats you’ve got here.

Interesting to note that the can reads “Dick’s Brewing Company, Cold Spring, MN” and “Distributed by BEVLINK LLC, Bellevue, WA. Had this beer been created when Dick was running things, no doubt it would be worth far more than $5.99/12 pack and even the amounts you mentioned.

Our Super Bowl tradition is to buy the Nacho at Fred Meyer. It comes in a football tray. They have also had veggie trays In a football tray. Im hoping to find the blue chips to go with the nacho. Hard to find here in Oregon. My FM sells blue, green and white Jones soda with a 12 on it.
Papa Murphy’s has a football shaped pizza. That’s a must have.
Target has a value section in their party supply area. I bought blue & green plates, cups, napkins and utensils, all 60 ct for $4.00 (each.) We will definitely have some left over but we use them for other get togethers.
I noticed today, Bed Bath & Beyond still had the Hawk Pot for $49.99 and if you get or sign up for their coupons for 20% off, makes it an ok deal.
I’m just trying to find balloons & decorations. No luck here. Any suggestions?

I did a Seahawks party in my 4th grade classroom last year and we layered (yes, it was tricky) diet mountain dew with the dark purple Gatorade in clear glasses. the Gatorade has a higher sugar content so it went in first and then you carefully pour the dew into the drink (but over a spoon so that they drinks don’t mix. It turned out very cool. I’m sure there is an alcoholic version too.

Just a note… Golden Tate is not a Hawks player anymore. 🙂 But I am going to call mine a QB “sack” dip (get it potato sack…sack the qb).

The Hilliard’s is actually a full pint per can though vs. the usual 12oz., so if you are used to craft beer prices, it’s not a bad deal. I’ve been to the brewery/tasting room and they’re pretty great folks 🙂 Go Hawks!!

Lisa – Great point. I updated the post. I want people to know that it’s totally worth every penny. I have heard others who have raved about the people at Hilliard’s as well. Love supporting local breweries!
